Uniform Summer

Note :
  1. Parents are expected to ensure that their wards are in proper uniform before leaving home.
  2. Students must wear sports Trousers & Jackets for Yoga/ Games Period.
  3. For all children, boys and girls alike, proper footwear in both summer and winter is Black Adidas shoes. No shoes of any other colour or kind nor chappals/floaters or any other form of high heeled shoes are permissible.
  4. The cut of the trouser should be straight. Fancy trousers like flares or bell bottoms or drain pipes etc are not permitted.
  5. The use of school logo is compulsory for all.
  6. Girls having long hair must tie their hair back neatly with Red Hair Band or Red Rubber Band.
  7. Girls are not permitted to wear expensive, ostentatious articles of jewellery like bracelets, dangling earrings or bangles or put on nail paint. Nails are to be neatly trimmed.
  8. As long as a student is on school rolls, he/she must come to school in uniform.
  9. Boys must be clean shaven. They are not allowed to sport a beard without the permission of the authorities except on religious or medical ground.
  10. If students are not found in proper uniform, they will be sent back home. Hence to avoid inconvenience strict compliance of uniform should be followed as per guidelines.

Special Features

The school Library is open to all bonafide students of the school. All classes are provided with at least one library period per week. Students have to observe the following rules :

  • They must maintain absolute silence in the Library.
  • Books other than reference books, are issued for 7 days. Rs. 1 per day is charged as fine for returning a book late.
  • Books marked, disfigured or damaged will have to be replaced or paid for the borrower.
  • The students are not allowed to bring their personal books or belongings into the library.

The House System provides a good platform for the holistic development of students. It forms the basis of all competitions in the school and promotes team spirits, group loyalty and healthy competition. The school is divided into four Houses after the names of the Indian Rivers, i.e Yamuna, Tsangpo, Dihang, Lohit. Our Clubs are: Maths Club, Eco Club, Science Club, Dramatic Club, Music Club, Health & Wellness Club & Lan- guage Club. Students compete for the Inter - House competitions, demonstrating their talents and skills to bring glory to their respective Houses.

Career Counsellors are called from time to time to make students aware of the various career options available. They help them to decide what career to take up according to their aptitude and ability. Experts from different fields are also invited to talk to the chil-dren.

Classes receive audio visual education as and when required. Film shows are arranged keeping in mind the requirements of each class. The school’s Multi - Purpose Hall pro- vides opportunities for Screening Films, Lectures Programmes Inter-House Competi- tions etc.

Smart Boards are installed in the classes to make the teaching learning very interest- ing, engaging, entertaining and informative.

The school has implements Adolescent Education Programme which deals with the psychological and emotional issues of adolescents to help them to grow into well-bal- anced individuals through individuals and group counselling, yoga and meditation.

Parents-Teachers meet are held in an academic session. It is mandatory for all parents / guardians to attend all PTM’s as and when called for by the School authorities. Stu- dents’ Report Cards are handed over to the parents / guardians which they must sign and return to the class teacher within 2/3 days. (In case of loss duplicate). In addition, parents / guardians may discuss regarding development / progress of their children on an ongoing basis with the respective class teachers/sub. Teachers/Principal/Headmis- tress and can meet them personally with prior appointment.


Reward And Reform Policy

YELLOW CARD

Serious offences which reflect adversely on a student’s conduct e.g. breaking bounds, disobedience, telling lies, indicate the award of a yellow card which deprives the offender of availing any privileges in the school for a week. He/she is not allowed to attend any programme, picnic or outing while on a yellow card. The award of three yellow cards in an academic year in quick succession may lead to the expulsion of the offender from the school on disciplinary ground.

PUNISHMENT

  1. Rules violation will lead to appropriate action from the disciplinary committee.
  2. Breaking or violating any other Rule, the punishment for which is not prescribed here, will be a matter or decision of the school authority after observing the gravity of the conduct and behaviour of the student in the past. The punishment imposed will be final.
  3. The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  4. Roll numbers of the students who do not follow the school rules or behave in an undisciplined manner may be withheld, based on the code of conduct issued by the CBSE.

DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

The following measures will be adopted to enforce discipline:

  1. Oral warning and counselling
  2. Written Warning
  3. Fine wherever applicable
  4. Withdrawal of bus facilities for misbehaving in the school bus. Parents will be responsible for dropping their wards to school and picking them up.
  5. Detention
  6. Rustication and expulsion as per rules.
